  • Calling you or others continually?
  • Harassing, threatening, or lying?
  • Being otherwise unfair or abusive?

You could be entitled to money for the damages you've suffered if your debt collector is violating fair debt collection laws. YOU HAVE RIGHTS, don't be intimidated!

Do you think your fair debt rights are being violated by an abusive debt collector?

State and federal fair debt laws prevent debt collectors from using harassing, misleading, dishonest or unfair debt collection practices. These laws provide that victims of debt collector abuse can recover cash compensation from the collectors, and require the collectors to pay all your legal fees.

Clerical Worker
By: Celia Diaz
I am constantly receiving collection phonecalls on both my cellular phone and work phone during the day at my place of employment. Cellular use is prohibited at my job and so are personal phonecalls. They call me numerous times throughout the day every single day.

Ms.

I have received at least 15 phone messages on my answering machine from National Enterprise Systems. The callers leave a message for my brother who lives in New York. I do not have any idea how they got my phone number and am really upset that they keep calling me. I left a message, after normal business hours on the voice-mail of one of the people that called and told him never to call my number again and that the person they are trying to reach does not live here. It is ridiculous how these type of companies can harass people that aren't even involved with the debt they are trying to collect.

Nes
By: Angel Mason
I called Nes to try to work out a payment plan and got no help.Even tho they sent me a letter stating that they would wok with me and try to work something out. They wanted 600 dollars a month and told me they were going to put a freeze on my husbands wages.I told them if I paid them 600 a month My family would be homeless in a few months. He told me at first that they had a 3000 dollar judgement against me.I have never been to court and have received no paper work. I finally just broke down after I told Him what I could pay and he hung up on me. Ive been crying ever since.

Workplace calls
By: Elizabeth Mahan
This company has repeatedly called my workplace after being firmly told, by the Management, that personal business calls are prohibited. I have submitted a claim to the Consumer Protection Bureau for a Cease and Desist order. NES also told my Supervisor that I had a "legal complaint" filed against me. This is untrue.

Ms.
By: suzanne franklin
Nes has mis-represented themselves by telling me that they represented Chase Bank when in fact they represent Hillco company who purchased the debt from the bank. So, they lied. On Monday morning I plan to call them and stop all payments that are currently being made in settlement for my Chase debt, NOT Hillco!
